Mountain West Football Power Rankings After Week 2

Another wild weekend of college football is in the books, and the Mountain West Conference race is starting to take shape. Here are the power rankings after Week 2:

1. Boise State Broncos (2-0)

The Broncos remain the team to beat in the Mountain West after a dominant 56-7 win over UTEP. Hank Bachmeier threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns, and the defense forced three turnovers.

2. Utah State Aggies (2-0)

The Aggies moved up to No. 2 with a 35-7 win over FCS Weber State. Logan Bonner threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns, and the defense held Weber State to just 198 total yards.

3. Fresno State Bulldogs (2-0)

The Bulldogs held on for a 31-28 win over No. 25 UCLA in Week 2. Jake Haener threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns, and the defense forced four turnovers.

4. Wyoming Cowboys (2-0)

The Cowboys moved up to No. 4 with a 38-14 win over Northern Illinois. Levi Williams threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns, and the defense held Northern Illinois to just 265 total yards.

5. Air Force Falcons (1-1)

The Falcons dropped to No. 5 after a 41-10 loss to No. 1 Alabama. Haaziq Daniels threw for 140 yards and a touchdown, but the defense couldn't stop Alabama's high-powered offense.

6. San Diego State Aztecs (1-1)

The Aztecs dropped to No. 6 after a 17-10 loss to Arizona. Jordon Brookshire threw for 175 yards, but the offense struggled to find the end zone.

7. Nevada Wolf Pack (1-1)

The Wolf Pack dropped to No. 7 after a 34-21 loss to Incarnate Word. Carson Strong threw for 355 yards and two touchdowns, but the defense couldn't stop Incarnate Word's offense.

8. New Mexico Lobos (1-1)

The Lobos moved up to No. 8 with a 27-17 win over New Mexico State. Terry Wilson threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns, and the defense forced four turnovers.

9. Colorado State Rams (0-2)

The Rams dropped to No. 9 after a 45-13 loss to Middle Tennessee. Todd Centeio threw for 135 yards, but the offense struggled to move the ball.

10. UNLV Rebels (0-2)

The Rebels remain at No. 10 after a 31-14 loss to Eastern Washington. Doug Brumfield threw for 215 yards, but the defense couldn't stop Eastern Washington's offense.
