Moskowitz claims that if Trump is declaring Mar-a-Lago to be worth $1 billion, as he has publicly stated, then he should be paying significantly more in property taxes.
The Palm Beach County Property Appraiser has appraised the market value of Mar-a-Lago to be between $18 million and $276 million. However, last year's tax rolls assigned the property a total market value of $276 million. While the 2022 rolls have not yet been finalized, it is estimated that the valuation will not increase substantially.
